Congratulations Hockey for Heroes
Congratulations Hockey for Heroes - News and Press
Hockey for Heroes recently travelled to the Himalayas aiming to set a world record for the Highest game of Hockey played. This challenge was called “Operation Olympus” and the goal was to raise funds and awareness for Help for Heroes. It was a resounding success. At 5130m, Hockey for Heroes have achieved their goal and claimed the world record that they were striving towards.
This is not the first challenge of this kind to be undertaken by Hockey for Heroes. Recently, they have successfully completed fundraising events, ‘#OpEndure’ and ‘#OpStretcher’ which you can read all about on the Hockey for Heroes’ blog.
Why we support Hockey for Heroes
Hockey for Heroes is a charity who uses their passion for hockey to raise funds for Help for Heroes. Help for Heroes supports Regular and Reserve Personnel and Veterans who been injured or become ill during their service. This charity also aids their families and their dependents. Hockey for Heroes has been raising funds for this great cause since 2012.
Every person who works with Hockey for Heroes is passionate about supporting Help for Heroes. Additionally, the Hockey for Heroes squad is made up of several Military and Ex-Military personnel who all support the goal of Hockey for Heroes.
“We are excited to add the Bathshop321 logo to our men’s playing shirts and look forward to sharing the benefits of this partnership to our wider audience. I have known Matt Earl, the orchestrator of this collaboration, for many years through Hockey and having more recently learnt of his personal reasons for wanting to be connected to our organisation, it has given me great pride to ensure we play a small part in the legacy his family member left behind”
— Joel Forrester, CEO Hockey for Heroes
