5 Ways To Create The Modern Bathroom Of Your Dreams - Bathroom Design Ideas
Modern bathroom design is very popular. We’ve all seen glossy images of refurbished bathrooms in magazines and brochures and have wanted to replicate them in our own homes.
Modern bathroom design is very popular. We’ve all seen glossy images of refurbished bathrooms in magazines and brochures and have wanted to replicate them in our own homes.
But what exactly does a modern bathroom consist of?
We think we’ve narrowed it down to 5 key elements.
The old saying is true: less is more! For a truly modern bathroom design, try to stick to a colour palette that features no more than three colours. Monochrome bathrooms are always a good bet, as well as just picking one central colour and pairing it with white furniture and ceramics. Also ensure that you have plenty of storage space available to keep all your bathroom essentials stored in a tidy fashion. Clutter is the killer of a modern bathroom!
Freestanding bathtubs were once seen as a choice for the wealthy – and it is true that they exude a great sense of power and class. However these days they are so much more accessible for everyday people and here at Bathshop321 we have a wide array of fantastic-looking freestanding baths just like the Synergy Arruba which is pictured above. It’s only £389 down from an RRP of £895! Take a look at our extensive range of freestanding baths by clicking here.
There’s a great new trend these days where designers are shunning the traditional curved lines of bathroom ceramics for more edgy, angular designs. The Andra Bath pictured above is a great example of modern design, where symmetry has been thrown out the window in favour of an eye-catching shape. We just love it! The Andra Bath can be yours for just £279! As well as baths, the angular trend can be seen in toilets and basins, such as the Tidy Toilet and Geo Basin. Just look out for young children bumping into the sharp corners of head-height items!
The bathroom may not seem like a place where technology is needed to much – but you would be mistaken! There is a huge array of gadgets available on the market right now that you can use to modernize your bathroom. Love music? Then install a bathroom radio into your bathroom ceiling! Wish you could watch television in the bath? Well you can with a bathroom TV’S! Just try not to drop any of your new gadgets into your bath, as that may cause a few problems… The mirror seen above is also a fantastic addition to any modern bathroom, with its unique 3D effect and LED lighting. Get it here for £155.
Whilst we encourage sticking to a minimal colour palette for the majority of your modern bathroom, we absolutely love the idea of having a ‘feature wall’ in the bathroom. This can be added to enhance white bathroom furniture. Just as some people choose to strip one wall back to bare brick in their living rooms or bedrooms, you can create just as good an effect with tiling in your bathroom. Colourful geometric patterns are very big right now and are great for adding a splash of colour, however you can also just keep it simple and tile one wall with a single colour to create a different texture – just like the bathroom above has done.
