Finish any necessary repairs
Had a dripping tap that you haven’t got around to fixing yet? Blocked plugholes? This is the week to get all your little odd jobs done. You want your guests to feel as comfortable and at home as possible for a harmonious atmosphere at Christmas – or you may end up with your friends or family moaning at you because they can’t get the shower to work on Christmas morning!
Make sure you have proper heating
Your guest bathroom will need to be adequately heated to meet the needs of your guests. If you have a smaller bathroom, a great option is to opt for a modern radiator that doubles up as a heated towel rail. These are fitted snug to the wall to maximise small spaces and output the most heat. Your visitors will love hopping out the bath or shower to have a lovely, warm, fluffy towel waiting for them! We’ve got some great options you can see below: click here to browse.
Clear out your unused items
The next step is to have a bathroom clear out. Those empty shampoo bottles? Bin them. Towels left on the floor? Wash them and hang them out to dry. Once everything is in it’s rightful place, it time to start scrubbing! Check out our ideas on how to get rid of stubborn limescale and stains by clicking here. Once the surfaces are sparkling, have a final run around with the hoover to make sure no dust or hair is lingering in the corners.
Lay out fresh towels and toiletries
Be a fantastic host and make sure that your guest bathroom is fully stocked with shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, soap, flannels and towels – and anything else that you think they might need.
Finish with fragrances
Finally, you can really go the extra mile to impress your guests by providing a scented candle or air freshener to keep your guest bathroom smelling great. Your friends and family will really appreciate the kind thoughts you’ve put into their visit. If you have visitors who like a laugh, you can even have a go at creating some DIY Christmas Decorations to display in your bathroom, which also doubles up as a fun activity for children.
